How do i tell this story. Need beget need begets neediness. As I age, I need help. There are things I need to get done. even though i may enjoy it, it can cause me delayed physical pain. Like mucking. I enjoy it. Read this article i wrote a few years back for the Country News. It needs to get done, and it hurts me more and more so I have tried to find people with like needs. Do you get where this is going. Around the end of Nov. 13, I was still /looking again for someone to help. Karta contacted me. The agreement was there “might” be trailer space for a person who wanted to help. Karta (name changed to protect the guilty) was positive, but clearly in need of… trailer parking, life structure, animal control. Aw hell,she was sweet and needy, so why not give it a try. Karta forgot to tell me things.. like her trailer had been sitting for 6 months not 2. like her dog was not neutered and was in jail in Gilroy, like her trailer jacks didn’t work, like all her plumbing had been hacked and changed, like the storage yard wasn’t a real storage yard and they got caught, like she was a smoker…, We helped her get her trailer here. More surprises, like the septic was clogged, like water was leaking out from under the trailer, smelly water, like she had no clue about how the damn thing worked or should be maintained. Not her fault, I hope, someone had put a bunch of paper towels in the black water tank. Health and safety, we paid to make sure the septic worked into our hookup. Later I learn, she has a court date for driving on a suspended license. No later I learn, it was a suspended licensed for one dui 15 years ago, no it was 2 dui’s. And it was one count of driving on a suspended license, not not one count, two no it was maybe six counts of driving on a suspended license. KARTA, I SAY. YOU GO TO COURT WHEN? TOMORROW MORNING? ok, i wish her good luck. I only discovered this as she was trying to put off our monthly meeting to discuss how things were working. S0 Karta goes to court and gets 30 days to turn herself in for 75 x’2, or 150 days jail time. That was Jan 31, 2013..tbc
