Bootz, I keep thinking…

Windance_64What an amazing animal he was. how he tried. I understand nerve pain, i have nerve pain. He had nerve pain in his face; that is what headshaking is. He would come to me in pasture and circle around and always present the right side of his face. He would approach normally and at the last second he would speed up and circle around me. His left side hurt him. I understand that now more than ever; now that he is gone from me. That simple act he performed, over and over again, makes me remember and think. He kept trying; he kept offering himself to me even though touching the other side of his face hurt him. I just can’t stop being aware of how honest and good he was.

I am not saying that the problem; head shaking- isn’t dangerous, didn’t degrade the quality of riding him. I am just so amazed that all these years he kept coming to me and allowing me to touch the side of him that hurt.

I am not sure why it took so long for me to put it together, and i believe i am correct. These animals are just truly amazing how they submit themselves to us. Google animation at Windance, Pescadero
